About Karnataka
This Karnataka trip joins two very different places. The first is Hampi, the ruined capital of the Vijayanagara empire, spread across a landscape of giant boulders beside the Tungabhadra river. The second is the Konkan coast of Gokarna, Murudeshwar and Honnavar, where temple towns meet quiet beaches.
Our five-day trip leaves Pune overnight. The first full day is in Hampi, among the Virupaksha Temple, the stone chariot at Vittala and the sunset from Hemakuta or Matanga hill. Then it heads west to the coast: Om Beach and Kudle Beach at Gokarna, the giant Shiva statue at Murudeshwar, and the backwaters around Honnavar. From there it returns to Pune.
It suits travellers who want history and beaches in one short trip, without the crowds of Goa.

We had been planning this trip for almost six months, and choosing the right package made it truly worthwhile. It was an awesome experience overall. The food and accommodation were very good.😊 We especially enjoyed the bonfire🔥 and DJ, and we even celebrated our friend’s birthday, 🎂 which made the trip extra special. Our guide, Ram, was very understanding and supportive throughout.🤩

I am delighted that I chose Safar Wanderlust for my first trip to Himachal. I didn't even realize it had passed after these five days because everything had gone so smoothly and nicely. Our trip was unforgettable thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Ram Thakur sir. To us, he was more like a buddy than a tour guide. I had a terrific encounter with him! You have given me the greatest memories of my life and made every penny worth it ✨️.

Watch the sea
Currents at Gokarna and Murudeshwar can be strong. Swim only where it is marked safe.
